WINTER MOOD WITH UKRKABEL

WINTER MOOD WITH UKRKABEL

Electric energy accompanies us all our lives. We use electrical appliances and equipment at almost every step. It is hard to even imagine a world without electricity. And what do we know about her? A few interesting facts to support the winter mood:
- the human body contains many chemical elements, for example: oxygen, potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium, the reactions of which contribute to the generation of electrical energy;
- the human brain produces enough electricity to light a 10-watt light bulb;
- the human heart contains cells that, in the process of maintaining the heart rhythm, absorb sodium and release potassium, which creates a positive charge in the cell. When the charge reaches a certain value, the cells acquire the ability to influence the contraction of the heart muscle. It is precisely these impulses that are captured by ECG equipment in medical institutions. The electrocardiogram was first measured by Augustus D. Waller in 1887, using a mercury capillary electrometer and a toy train to monitor the electrical activity of an intact heart;
- do not underestimate static electricity. A single spark can generate up to 3000 volts;
- the first electric Christmas garland for the Christmas tree was made in the USA in 1882. Edward Johnson - associate of Thomas Edison - decorated the Christmas tree in his house with it;
- electric eels really deserve their nickname. About 80% of an eel's body consists of electrolytes. This allows the eel to generate an electric current with a voltage of about 500 volts;
- The Statue of Liberty, built in 1886, was America's first electric lighthouse. The world-famous Statue of Liberty is 46 meters tall, and the light from its lighthouse can be seen at a distance of more than 30 km;
- energy scientists have their own planet - it is Uranus, the seventh planet of the Solar System, which was discovered on March 13, 1781 by the Englishman William Herschel. The planet received the name of the Greek god of lightning Uranus, and became considered the patron of electricity and light;
- unfortunately, more than a billion people on the planet still live without electricity.
